What was the biggest struggle in setting up the company?
Finding the right team to make the vision of ActiveWin come to fruition was a challenge, but it was well worth the investment in time and effort.
What is your biggest achievement to date and why?
The development of our team has been a tremendous source of pride and accomplishment. By taking the time to recruit quality people with the right attitude and work ethic, we find their ability to learn new concepts is boundless. We don’t train our staff for a ‘job’– we help build their career.
What are the main aims of your business?
Our goal was to create strategic partnerships with a handful of world class companies, with a shared vision to provide an outstanding service. I’m happy to say we’ve been able to achieve that goal. It’s equally important to give something back to the community, which is why we support the SMA Trust charity throughout the year. The entire ActiveWin team gets involved in raising awareness and funding for their important research into finding a cure for this disease.
How has your business developed in the last year?
By developing successful campaigns for core clients like Betfred, and strategic new wins like MoneyPlus, NEKTAN PLC and Prospect Halls we have doubled our headcount and expanded to an additional floor in our building. Currently, work is underway for a third floor to accommodate the growth in staff. We have several strategic joint ventures incubating at the moment, so watch this space.
What is the best part of working in Greater Manchester?
Manchester is a thriving digital hub ideally situated for easy travel within the UK and abroad. There is a deep pool of talent thanks to the many universities in the immediate area and the hardworking heritage.”
