One of the region’s fastest-growing businesses is celebrating rapid success and expansion.
ActiveWin Media, a digital marketing agency based in Manchester city centre, has grown from just one member of staff to a workforce of 39 in only a year and is actively recruiting a further 23 positions.
Turnover is expected to exceed £1.5million this financial year and the business has been profiting since month four.
The company specialises in driving traffic, building affiliate networks and managing online media using a business model that operates at very low cost and is low risk for the customer.
Active Win launched in March 2013 when Fred and Peter Done, owners of Betfred and Peninsula Business Services, backed the start-up company after recognising its potential with MD Warren Jacobs at the helm.
The Glaswegian businessman was one of the original team at gaming Giant Europartners, one of the most successful online marketing companies in online gaming, which was recently acquired by Playtech PLC for £230m.
Determined to replicate this previous success by adopting the same business model, Jacobs, 37, relocated his young family from Tel Aviv to Manchester to set up Active Win Media, supported by the Done brothers.
Mr Jacobs said:
“I chose Manchester as the base for the business because of its vibrancy, thriving business environment and vast student population.
Our early success has been built on this exciting city and an extremely talented team delivering fantastic work for clients.
I’m a big believer in investing in graduates and committed to developing partnerships with the region’s universities and colleges.
By supporting bright ideas and ambition, I’m confident that we will continue to succeed and grow.”
The marketing business, based on Cross Street in Manchester City Centre, has outgrown its current office space and plans to take over a second floor of the building in June to accommodate its expanding team.
The company’s list of current clients includes Betfred.com, Totepool.com, Bucky Bingo, BOGOF Bingo (buy one get one free Bingo), Mobibet, Peninsula and Peninsula Partners.
“The future’s looking bright for the business”
