ActiveWin served as a consultant to not only improve CPA and check-outs for a new client but help them to forge a successful partnership with a huge partner.

The Brief

After launching in 2018 through an in-house marketing team,  Arm Candy approached ActiveWin to consult on ways to increase acquisition and brand awareness. As an online competition brand, Arm Candy’s concept is to guess the number of sweets in a jar online to win a luxury handbag.

What we did

First, ActiveWin arranged for world-famous Swizzels Matlow to partner with Arm Candy as the official sweets provider.

As part of the partnership, Arm Candy players received an exclusive 40% discount on specific Swizzels online orders. Players were even given the option to order personalised products at specific times such as their birthdays and Valentine’s Day, all with their 40% discount.

Then, paid social and native campaigns were added, and a technical SEO audit was completed for the site.

Results

The results after three months easily beat all targets set by the client.

Thanks to the partnership we brokered with Swizzels, we achieved regional and national press for Arm Candy, raising their profile to potential players.

By combining paid social, native ads and technical and content SEO we were able to increase the number of site visitors and also improve the quality of traffic, resulting in significant rises in clicks and check-outs before turning the project over to their in-house team.
